The Civil Service Forum was founded, organized and established in September, 1914 by the Joint Council of New York City.
Fifty years later in September, 1964 the Executive Board of the Service Employees International Union granted their Charter.
The Charter was issued by authority of the Executive Board of the Service Employees International Union and granted to the
Civil Service Forum and their successor's power to be a Local Union of this International located in New York City, NY and
be known and designated as CIVIL SERVICE FORUM, LOCAL 300.
